2024 Recap: Yeah, We Scored
*spoiler alert: it was epic.
We got barreled, big time
2024 was all about scoring waves in every corner of the globe. Vincent Duvignac set the tone with winter missions in Les Landes, navigating heavy and challenging beach breaks only he seems to master. The year opened in the Pacific, with Tahurai Henry and Gilbert Teave making the most of legendary Teahupo’o’s pristine swells. By autumn, the Atlantic delivered, Hossegor and the Spanish Basque Country saw powerful surf, and the crew was there to make the most of it.
Pierre Rollet stood out with a strong YouTube series, featuring a memorable Desert Point episode alongside François Liets, best duo you could imagine. New team members Robbie Page, Maud Le Car and Natxo Gonzalez quickly found their place, with Natxo scoring impressive sessions at home. Maud Le Car explored Indonesia for her film Currents of Devotion, blending tropical energy with punchy surfing.
Boris Romann scored most of the swell that hit les Landes while Arnaud Mestelan sent us a beautiful postcard from the Mentawai Islands. Laure Mayer’s People of Surfing series in New Zealand captured the essence of longboarding and local surf culture. Mathieu Maréchal brought his all time elegance with his classic longboard approach and delicious clips from Australia.
Miguel Blanco impressed with Passenger 2, a winter edit that delivered some of the year’s most memorable moments. Meanwhile, the Lost in the Swell crew took a unique approach to the surf trip, traveling by train from France to Portugal, finding waves along the way, and proving the journey matters as much as the destination.
A winter that delivered
When winter arrived, the energy shifted to the mountains. Mat Crepel’s Banked Slalom in Avoriaz brought epic rides, great vibes, and an engaged community, making it a standout event of the season. His Mat’s Life series gave us a glimpse into his journey, capturing memorable highlights throughout his season.
Tiphanie Perrotin made the most of every powder days and organized her first Find the line event. We connected with Avoriaz's locals, Paul Veron and Juan Cachat, showed why they’re the next generation of freeriders.
Tom Tramnitz raised the bar with Schnitzel Time: No Return, a strong Austrian production with timeless footages. Jean-Louis Saint-Arnault delivered a freeride gem with YYWTSSC, filmed largely in the iconic terrain of La Grave, showcasing technical mastery and the beauty of big-mountain riding.
Clement Picart took a creative approach, self-producing edits that captured the magic of the best powder days. Meanwhile, Enak Gavaggio & Tony Lamiche kept things as entertaining as ever with new episodes of Penthouse and Tony on tour, blending humor and big-mountain adventure.
