To extend the life of our surf wetsuits, we have chosen to partner with the Tearing Waves workshop to offer you the possibility of having them repaired!
Tearing Waves, what is it?
Tearing Waves is a sewing workshop whose mission is to extend the life of wetsuits through repair.
Founded by My-Lane in 2020, the workshop's mission is to respond to 2 major issues:
- Provide an adapted and personalized service to all surfers without a solution for their damaged wetsuits,
- Appease a planet increasingly polluted by the overconsumption of Neoprene.
By partnering with Tearing Waves, Oxbow’s goal is to make repair a new reflex for wetsuits!
In which case is the repair free?
THE COMBINATION IS STILL UNDER GUARANTEE (2 YEARS)
In the event that your wetsuit is still under warranty, Oxbow offers you the repair costs and the shipping costs.
Please note: only a quality defect will be covered by Oxbow. A tear linked to a drift, for example, will be the responsibility of the customer.
THE COMBINATION IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY
If the wetsuit was purchased more than 2 years ago or if the damage is caused by reasons other than material or manufacturing defects, Oxbow does not cover the repair but it is still possible.
However, you can benefit from a €10 credit for repairs exceeding €40 thanks to the REPAIR BONUS.

Don't panic: by following the steps detailed below, you will be able to fill out a repair form in just a few minutes and directly ship the garment you want to repair.

Response within 72 hours excluding weekends and public holidays
⚠ Please wait for the workshop's response before sending your suit. All instructions will be communicated to you by email. -
Send your suit to the address given to you or drop it off directly at the workshop
⚠ the suit must be clean and dry -
Wait quietly
The workshop will inform you by email as soon as the repair is completed. -
Receive your repaired product at the address you provide.
Well done ! All you have to do is go back to surfing with your freshly repaired wetsuit.
FAQ
Only Oxbow wetsuits are affected by the offer described above.
3 weeks after receipt of the product in the Tearing Waves workshop
The cost of a repair is between €20 and €80.
The price difference will depend on:
- The size of the tear, hole or seam to be repaired
- The quantity of holes, tears, seams to repair
- The quantity of neoprene to replace as well as the damaged area in the event of a tear
