What is HIPLI ?
HIPLI is a french company that has set itself the goal of increasing the lifespan of packaging used by e-tailers.
HIPLI's mission: to give everyone the power and the desire to fight against waste in a simple and effective way by drastically reducing the waste associated with packages.
To do this, HIPLI has created a packaging that can be reused 100 times!

How does HIPLI work?
When choosing the transport, you just have to check the option "HIPLI" (charged 2€)
You will receive your products in a reusable package
2 options are available to you
I scan the package (QR code)
I enter the delivery details
I create the label and can track the package
I scan the package (QR code)
I fold the package (follow the dotted lines to optimize the envelope)
I send it back for free (yellow mailbox deposit, it is already stamped)
NB : HIPLI takes care of the repackaging process
To reduce environmental impact : HIPLI packages fold up very small and are very light

Observation:
E-commerce has shaken up consumer habits and its share of total retail sales is only increasing:
1.7 billion packages are sent in France every year. Their lifespan is on average 3 days, they generate 300,000 tons of waste per year.
In France in 2022, only 4% of plastic packaging is recycled according to citéo (Organization in charge of recycling household packaging and graphic papers), but 64% of cardboard is recycled.
Despite everything, the recyclability of paper and cardboard has its limits: 5 to 7 times maximum in order to keep their qualities knowing that there is 10% loss at each recycling.
The HIPLI solution :



Genesis of HIPLI:
This company was founded by Léa Got and Anne-Sophie Raoult, following several receptions of oversized packages compared to the order, or filled with chocks and air. Moreover, these parcels are most of the time single use. The idea of the reusable parcel emerged and HIPLI was created in July 2020.
The HIPLI package was born, the founders have carried out numerous tests and a life cycle analysis which guarantees that the packaging could be reused 100 times.
In March 2021, HIPLI becomes cross-border and travels within 8 countries
In July 2021, HIPLI launches the first rigid package
In October 2021, HIPLI is chosen by colissimo to democratize the reusable parcel
In February 2022, Creation of the reusable packaging return offer, a world first : the French post office launches a return rate dedicated to reusable packaging.
In July 2022, After 2 years, 250 000 parcels are in circulation among nearly 1 million individuals.
