With "BE THE CHANGE", we aimed to mobilize your spirit of adventure and translate it into tangible actions for our beautiful planet. We invited female riders from all walks of life to share their inspiring ideas, and you were incredible! Around thirty projects, brimming with passion and heart, truly showcased your determination to make a difference, all driven by a desire for positive change and impact. A huge thank you to each of you for your contagious energy and creativity that inspire us every day.

The Oxbow community's selection

Over 3500 votes were counted, a great turnout for some fantastic initiatives! Here's a nod to our top three favorite projects that you voted for:

Kaimana (Lanzarote, Canary islands) : Marta founded Kaimana in Lanzarote, a project aimed at empowering female surfers, enabling them to surf with confidence and independence. Kaimana is committed to providing the necessary tools for surfers to feel secure and valued, both in the water and in their daily lives.

No Flat Days (Morotai, Indonesia) : Mathilde and Louise have created a project to celebrate surf culture through a solidarity surf trip to a remote island in Indonesia. Their mission is to support a small local surf club by bringing technical equipment, building a skate ramp, and organizing creative workshops, fostering lasting connections within the community.

Sourires du Ghana (Ghana) : Mélie and Victoria, passionate and based in the Basque Country, lead this project that combines a love for board sports with environmental commitment and social inclusion for women in Ghana. Their project also aims to raise awareness about the devastating impacts of fast fashion on the local environment, while promoting social inclusion through initiatives related to board sports.
