Our story with Avoriaz dates back to the '80s, when we sponsored the World Cups and the Nations Cup, but especially thanks to Jean Nerva, a legend and pioneer of snowboarding, who wore the colors of Oxbow and the resort for many seasons.

Last year, at the 2nd edition of the Oxbow Banked Slalom hosted by Mat Crepel, we ran into a local rider, super motivated and stylish: Juan Cachat.

If you ride the parks at Avo – La Chapelle, Stash, or Arare – you’ve probably already crossed paths with him. But you can also find him in the backcountry or at Changabang, a must-visit spot for a burger before the afternoon session.

Juan has a snowboarding vision that speaks to us: keeping it authentic, supporting the local scene, and organizing events.
