TEM CARACOIS
You don’t need to go very far to get away from everything. Mathieu Maréchal, Simon Routa, Arnaud Mestelan and Giacomo Perez took to the road in mid-summer to embark on a road trip with mates, just the way we like it. Directed by Alex Heitler, this 15-minute, classic longboarding film will submerge you in the universe of 1990s Oxbow catalogues.
CROSSING BORDERS
Our ambassador Kepa Acero is a pioneer and one of the key figures of the adventure surfing scene. The Basque surfer is an expert in finding virgin waves with the help of Google Earth and has built a lifestyle around it. For this new trip, Kepa set off with his mates Natxo and Aritz to Liberia, in West Africa. The goal was simple: to surf a new wave with friends. However, achieving it proved more complicated than they expected. They needed to cross the border between Liberia and Sierra Leone. Directed by Jon Aspuru, the short film “Crossing Borders” narrates this adventure.
OBSEASSION
A true artist of classic longboarding, Laure Mayer has found her rhythm and her lifestyle in Byron Bay, Australia. A life of surfing, travelling and encounters that has allowed this entrepreneur to build friendships all over the world. Back in Europe, she decided to go on a road trip along France, Spain and Portugal, in which Laure met Estelle, Paula, Andrea, Inés and Ria. Just like Laure, these surfers have chosen a lifestyle that allows them to enjoy the priceless freedom of surfing as often as possible. Directed by Romain and Laura Decombe, OBSEASSION is a 30-minute documentary that offers a portrait of six proud women of this generation of longboarders that claim their spot in the line-up to simply enjoy and glide from the nose of their boards.
RAW
Filmed in the heart of the jungle of French Polynesia, and close to the most beautiful wave in the world, famous photographer and filmmaker Tim McKenna has followed the surfing locals Gilbert Teave and Tahurai Henry during one special day.
Selected in many festivals and rewarded as “best short film”, RAW – the sound of Teahupo’o is more than a classic video of Tahiti's iconic wave, it is a pure aesthetic and sound travel. No music or blabla, just the amazing spectacle of mothernature.
SEA RAVEN
Story of a trip to Morocco, one of the favorite destinations for surfers from around the world. Boris Romann from Les Landes and his partner Thea Myst transport us to a 70's atmosphere with a local colourful and mystical décor, on pursuit of the long winter swells that come to break along the rocky coast.
