Committed to protecting the oceans and mountains, Oxbow actively engages in environmental protection by recycling its waste and cleaning up our surf spots several times a year.

Furthermore, Oxbow supports its local community through donations and the repurposing of its products.

Beach Cleanup

We organize a beach cleanup on the Gironde coast two to three times a year.

This is an opportunity for all our employees to get together, share a friendly moment, and support a cause close to our hearts: maintaining our beaches means maintaining our surf spots.

We close the entire head office for a full day or half a day.

We collect an average of 100 to 150 kg of plastic waste during this day. This collection is done using bags made of plant-based material to minimize excess waste.

For transportation, we rent a bus for the day to limit each person's carbon footprint and avoid using our personal vehicles.

Recycling

Initially, a recycling system was implemented at the company's headquarters in partnership with Elise Atlantique. We recycle all our office waste, as well as plastics, glass, masks, and plastic bags used to transport our collections.

Packaging

We initially reworked the folding methods for our products. By folding the t-shirt in thirds before packaging, we reduce the size of the bag by 70%.

That's nearly 10 fewer tons of plastic each year.

Furthermore, our bags are made of recycled polyethylene so as not to produce new plastic. This method will be gradually extended to all product categories that can be rolled and folded.
