When Hurricane Erin sent a rare cyclonic swell across the Atlantic, Europe’s surf scene was buzzing. Forecasts were tricky, the wind was uncertain, and the decision wasn’t easy: Mundaka or Hossegor?
In the end, fate had its say. Pierre Rollet and his crew literally flipped a coin to decide where to go. The call took them to Hossegor, and it was the right move. With François Liets driving the ski, Pierre scored XL waves that felt more like January than August.
